This kitchen island is one the most beautiful pieces of furniture in our home. When we retired and downsized, we needed more counter surface and storage in the kitchen. We entertain quite a bit and have so many complements on this island. I love the traditional and antiquity of wrought iron. It never goes out of style and complements every type of decor. Dark commanding wood, solid black wrought iron. Nothing artificial about this piece of furniture. This is the real thing!
Kitchen Island
This wrought Iron Kitchen Island is amazingly tasteful and useful at the same time. We are using it in a medium size kitchen and it fits perfectly. It leaves just the right amount of space on all sides to work in the kitchen without getting in the way. I love the way the sturdy open shelving keeps the island from closing the kitchen off from the rest of the living room. We are storing pieces of pottery on the island shelves that we use often, so I also like the way I can reach the pottery from all sides. The marble top seems very porous so I double sealed it before we began using it. The study wood distressed shelves are a wonderful compliment to the smooth marble and very attractive. This is going to be an heirloom for generations to come.
